The Seventh International Workshop on Cyber Social Threats (CySoc 2026) was held in conjunction with the 20th International AAAI Conference on Web and Social Media (ICWSM 2026) in Los Angeles, California, USA. Building upon six successful prior editions, the workshop brought together researchers and practitioners from computing, social, behavioral, and information sciences to discuss emerging cyber social threats and approaches for understanding and mitigating harmful online behaviors. This year’s spotlight theme was Human-AI Relationships: Risks, Rewards, and Responsibilities, reflecting the growing influence of generative and interactive AI systems on communication, online platforms, and social dynamics. This report provides an overview of the workshop and synthesizes key themes emerging across keynotes, paper presentations, demonstrations, panel discussion, and research discussions. In particular, participants highlighted the emergence of human-AI interactions as a growing cyber social threat research area, with the dual role of AI as both a source of risk and a tool for mitigation, and the need to better understand the broader societal impacts of AI-mediated communication systems. The report concludes by outlining potential future research directions for the cyber social threats community.
